CipherMail for Android is an Android application designed to work alongside your existing Android mail application, allowing users to send and receive S/MIME digitally signed and encrypted emails on their Android smartphones.

• CipherMail for Android does not offer email retrieval functionality. Users need to utilize an existing Android mail application (e.g., Gmail, K9, or the default Android email client) to access encrypted attached smime.p7m messages.
• Clear-signed digitally signed messages can only be verified by opening the message as an .eml file from a file source, necessitating access to the complete message for validation, which is not typically available in existing mail clients.
• If utilizing O365, ensure that SMTP is enabled for optimal functionality.

Permissions:

• The Contacts permission is necessary for recipient lookup on the compose page. Without the Contacts permission, the application can function properly but will lack recipient lookup capabilities.
